Even with the question marks in left and short this team is as a whole better than 2023 IMO. Barring a collapse of the pitchers or major injuries I think the pennant odds are very good. As for the JS, I guess we shall see.

I think the Carp still have a good shot this year even if they don't win the pennant, they're pretty tenacious. Yomiuri has a lot of depth on paper but is a headless beast without Okamoto and just spiritually bereft in general. They don't have the dawg like last year. Same with Yokohama, their rotation is weakening and I think they're going to struggle if they can't get their hitting together.
