From my understanding, the last time the United States ever officially declared war was back in 1942, and that needed to be done by Congress. But ever since then, the United States has NEVER declared war, officially. Everything post-WW2 have been military "operations" or "conflicts" for the United States.
So why are Democrats so eager to claim this is as an official war, when it's not? Donald Trump never declared war on Iran, a president can't do that. The President of the United States has the full power to mobilize the military for immediate threats, no?
