I'd imagine SOMEONE would mention it if only because GW told them to put that in. Meanwhile there's a lot of little nods with some locations and planet names for example. If anything there's a lot of the stuff missing from the core material, ancient by your standards it be, and I'm somewhat anxious what they're going to cut out form their DH game.
It's not really uncommon for less profitable spinoffs like BFG for example to get far less love and updated codexes compared to the main line either.
