I always thought it was a huge missed opportunity to not have Gulus regain complete control at some point. He is the original after all. The gammamon we know is essentially just a lobotomized version of him. It'd give Gamma a much needed personality instead of the overgrown child who likes food we've had 20 times by now. It'd also be cool to have a tamer dealing with a digimon that's actually dangerous. Something they have to tame rather than just bro around with all the time. Closest we ever got was Guilmon's occasional feral moments.
