Some interpret Asriel's line mentioning using their full power was that Chara was intending to blast the entire village, not just 6 souls the plan promised (asriel would later mention how they would've needed to wage war after which might've been part of this idea).

It's mostly a reference to how humanity was supposedly so turbo strong as to be incalculably stronger than monsters. If the human/monster fusion is a joint endeavor like Asriel says, the logic should follow through that the human half has more determination/willpower than the monster half but instead its the other way.

Again, most believe at this point Asriel believed a change in plans (or maybe just figured out at that time he was about to do a declaration of war and didn't want to).
