DS3 had by far the best, most fleshed out and balanced invasion system in the entire series. It introduced weapon matchmaking to curb some twinking issues, it allowed solo invasions (with a reasonably long cooldown but there's STILL enough people to invade in DS3 constantly thanks to this even now), it added two actually functional area invasion covenants that are still populated to this day.

Elden Ring though? Fucking garbage, and i'm saying this as someone who has played the game extensively.
