Actually went into this a while back since I liked the aesthetic. There are currently four builds out there for download with one of them being corrupted (and maybe repaired by now?) It seemed like it was going to focus a lot on choices and heavy on narrative with the gameplay taking a lot after Alone in the Dark since the director actually was the creator of that series. Got canned the same year SEGA announced the Dreamcast would be discontinued since it was a SEGA of Europe studio working on it. People fucked with it hard enough to fix up a rom to show off all the stuff from the different versions - reminds me a lot of how people are with the Half-Life 2 beta.
