Incorrect. You can choose to have a monthly to yearly subscription, but there's also the option to buy a perpetual license. However, with this license you are only able to put this permanently on 2 devices, iirc. So if you're thinking about upgrading your PC over the years, you may have to buy it again. Unless you're not planning on changing your hard-drive with each upgrade.
