GIMP and Inkscape do not have CMYK colorspace support for print projects (posters, brochures, books, magazines, etc.) like Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign have, and they have no ETA for it either.
I'm currently working on a project right now and I want to make sure the colors that come out of the printer match what is on the screen, and I can't guarantee that if the document is in RGB colorspace.
