Well, to be fair, DMD only caught on because it was an exceptionally high-quality VN 8 years ago. The renders were amazing and it had tons of content (relatively). People tolerated the garbage writing because it was way above par otherwise back then. It wasn't the actual incest content that carried it, though that didn't hurt either. Thankfully, standards have gone up quite a bit since then.
