It's not /v/, it's a very dedicated group of discord trannies that do this anytime a game is well received. They purposefully make threads just to shit on the game. ER, Dragons Dogma 2 and quite a few other games I can think of off the top of my head have been on the receiving end. While some of the discourse might be genuine, a lot is forced.
E33 was exempt from this for a time because it was a sleeper hit, something that didn't have much hype or marketing and gained traction mostly through word of mouth, so they didn't have their months in advance of planning to execute their retardation. You're only seeing it now because they didn't know about it and probably didnt expect it to be popular.
Their attempts to try compare the game against Death Stranding 2 is the exact same shit that they did with Elden Ring and Dragon's Dogma, trying to pit two fanbases against each other, for some reason.
