Programmed to kill is an excellent book. Well sourced and exhaustively researched. There's nothing "schizo" about it. I used to research this topic quite a bit, even contributed some pieces that appeared into a legacy/continuation website to the book (programmedtokill dot net). Check it out, it's a wild rabbit hole.

This is one of my favorite books. Keel was WAY ahead of his time, unbelievably so. Ends the book in a decidedly gnostic fashion, theorizing that we are essentially controlled and monitored by an entity at the edge of the "super spectrum". His skeptical pessimism and scientific approach probably turned off a lot of new agers from his work. (Which is why I like it so much. Can't stand new agers)

pic rel. One of the most touching and informative works I have ever read.
