Self-inserting myself into SKK no longer works for me because if I genuinely put myself in his shoes, then I would've remained in Eden following chapter 21 asking Cecil why she can't just use erythrocytes produced from in-vitro cultivated hemopoietic stem cells derived from my bone marrow to make vapaus. Once that is answered, I'd just stay in Eden spending my time working with Cecil in the lab to further develop and mass produced vapaus. Point is, the longer the story goes on and the more scenarios SKK gets involved in, the more his choices become ones I wouldn't personally make thus making it harder and harder to see him as an avatar of myself so the realistic direction to go is to make SKK his own character rather than a self-insert
