You are a gamer. not a game dev. but you play games from the perspective as if you were a game dev. i think this phenomenon occurs because of the retardery of asking for player feedback. by including the players input in the development of the game, they are fundamentally altering the relationship between game dev and player, and changing the way players approach the game. you don't think of yourself as a player, you think of yourself as a "tester".
all of this is to say that there is no "zerg problem". in fact, i would argue that 50 players beating up on a huge dragon is the whole fucking point of playing this retarded genre
