Except, the doomer endings don't have as much weight to them, because the only time these humes exist is when they suddenly manifest under a colony drop; I can't even fathom having an iota of a singular fuck over any human in the X era, because these people just don't exist outside of body counts.
See, the two cool robots are fighting battles I don't particularly care about; I only care about the immediate cast because there's no world outside of the incredibly narrow view presented - there are recognizable geographical locations on the maps, sure, but we don't know what the people are like, and they could all be weird future-assholes and deserve it, for all I know. All you need to do, is show a still frame of Future-Russia, with Future-Russians wearing Future-Ushankas, and show them getting along with some reploids to go "this is what Sigma's rebellion is putting at risk" and try to make the player care, instead of just taking their investment for granted

Fucking MAC and Green Biker Dude have more depth than the entirety of humanity (post-cain) in the X-era. So in short? Yeah, I do care about Synthetics, because there's nothing else TO care about.
