It's okay, just try to think of the castle in parts and in time your muscle memory will get use to navigating it, a handful of people are clueless how to navigate to the rooftop without using the shortcut in fact, to the point people who get there fast should expect they're in a 1v1 or 2v1 for a little while
just revisit the castle over and over and focus on learning to navigate it a piece at a time and learn enemy placements

deleted it relatively fast honestly, they just staggered it and I kept pelting it with spears, I wasn't particularly strong this run either although I had an incant that made the magma wyrms smoother

you don't always reliably get shards from crates and the time it takes to scrounge them adds up compared to buying them from a convenient vendor, or in this case buying 12 from the settlement at level 5 or 6
you can only buy 2 prior to the boss, so if everyone pooled that's 6 shards which is pretty decent for most comps, but in a particurly low damage one I'd still feel the need to hit a tower probably
