when you dont need to haul shit though, the infrastructure is good, and especially if you live in european city a truck makes zero sense
the mileage is worse and a truck is just straight up more cumbersome
american cities were designed when cars already existed, most european cities on the other hand are more than thousand years old
its roads meant for horse carriages converted to car use
so the roads are narrower here, and trucks are cumbersome for normal use, so they're mostly used only for work
