This is an excellent point. If you are the type of gamer who will blindly attack something like a kobold without guaging whether you are strong enough to take it on 15 times in a row without learning, or if you are prone to wasting an incredibly useful item like a wand of polymorph by zapping it at yourself over and over then Powder is definitely not the game for you. Much better to stick to an easy game where you can grind endlessly for incrementally stronger skinner box loot and remove any semblance of challenge. I recommend Powder as a game where you can't grind your way out of danger and winning requires paying attention and using strategic choices to be successful. I get how unpopular games that require player skill are these days though especially when it comes to RPGs but felt worthwhile to mention in case anyone was actually looking for something more challenging and interesting to play than Skyrim.
Also, I don't know why you posted that picture of some random website that would ship the game to you... all versions are freely available to download on his website. https://www.zincland.com/powder/
