No they where both complete shit compared to the originals, the cognitive dissonance between Peter's life being shit and about to lose everything, versus Miles not knowing what to write on a college entry paper is impossible to ignore, you then the relentless story beats that exist purely to shit on Peter and it just gets worse.
Spider-Man 1 had a nice poignant story with Peter ultimately choosing the needs of the many over his own.
Ragnarok has horrific pacing issues with constantly going back to the magic house between dimensions and Atreus segments, where the first one being a much more cohesive and tight story.
