Trool park was a very good feature imo. It significantly buffed dungeon farming (you can't loot card packs with soul captures in arena) with absolute minimal impact to the game and its economy. The reward is a strong, yet, not end all be all mount, it enables a lot of trading between players because of the cards rarity and has the added bonus of casual gamba dopamine. Unironically genius game design but I can understand it's a whatever addition in your perspective.

I'm fairly sure the retro team is fully aware of the aforementioned slippery slope of adding more shit. They were fairly in line with the game, mostly added stuff that were supposed to be in before 2.0 or fix some stuff that really needed to be. At one point you've got to ask yourself when Retro stops being Retro and changing or adding spells to classes is likely one such line.
I do believe we will have a retro Frigost at some point however.
