Such a simple way to tutorialize this too, where you can just add a subtext line into the Help menu that says exactly this kind of plain translation of the codes >>527128412 it would pop up the very first time that you use one of those skills. Then as you build your repertoire up from the small skill list, you are informed about the terminology as you get stronger and get longer and longer spell names. Instead, how it is, you just have to crack the code yourself or toggle the Help option on indefinitely and just try and memorize everything manually which is tiresome. There's no tutorial for this in any of the games I have played as far as I am aware.
I've ended up just installing the FF terms list mod instead. It's not perfect but I'm not sorry, I'm enjoying the game more now with some plain English/more familiar terms
