XIV has a core group of players now. The ERP modders will never quit. Hell if SE came out and said

The ERPers and modders would still stay. They'd have minimum 500,000 people who will play regardless of content. Hell I had friends who used to sit in Limsa and they still haven't finished EW lmao. They legit just pay their sub to /beeknees and chat. It's crazy considering you can just chat to people on Discord for free
