make sure to always check your balls for ticks, they'll unironically hide there & be hard to see
also take a shower after every /out/ing, ticks hate the soapy water, it also helps remove any poison ivy you might have accrued too
and keychain tick tools are super useful, even if you don't keep them on a keychain, a separate carabiner works great
