I remember way back in the early days of anime "reviews" this show was almost universally seen as one of the worst things ever made alongside MD Geist. I never actually watched it but considering how up their asses early reviewers were (which hasn't changed) and how wrong they were about Geist I'd be inclined to give this a go.
