I prefer old Rudeus though, because despite what retards say, his personality never really disappears. He's still crass even in the end, but more down to Earth. And I like Rudeus because he's crass unlike other isekai protagonists
And yes, I think the later volumes are better with the fights and more interesting characters. (Eris or Ruijerd didn't really carry anything for me, I'm reading MT for Rudeus)
Granted, I read the fight scenes with my own imagination, so it might just be for me
If you cut MT off when Eris leaves, I probably won't even be a fan of the series. I still like the adventure on S1 tho, but for me its just a prologue. (For me, the material for Season 1 is more boring than everything that comes after)
And you guys talk as if the only adventure is the Demon Continent arc, but every volume they go to different place. That's why every MT volume has Rudeus on different settings, that's the idea for it
