I think it's a bit better now that I sat on it a bit, if you saw the post I made yesterday or the day before. The infirmary bit specifically, when MC gets told the story it mentions they were crying instead of being scared by the ghosts which lines up with the 'salvation' too pic rel https://litter.catbox.moe/yaxtptmz7zfl50fh.jpg so rather than the game being unfinished it must've been an intentional switch to signify that either they or MC was already dead. Too bad it's unclear.
