Is Varesa's artifact set actually better than Codex if you're running her with Furina? I assume her ploonge damage buff is the same as any other bonus damage so it sounds like you'd be going way past diminishing returns on a Furina team

all the standard 5*s were dogshit as soon as the limited 5*s started popping up, and the 1.X limited 5*s became obsolete pretty quickly too, same as (most) of the 3.X ones, and then most of the 4.X ones... And even more than characters, in Genshin a lot of reactions and elements have just gone to shit and only gotten relevant again several years later and mainly through specific meta supports
The only thing letting people say "oh but old units are still good!" to this day are 3 specific completely unbalanced 4*s
