You're meant to decide on how you want to build them. Classes having multiple facets to their skill trees isn't exclusive to 3 you know, that's an odd complaint. That's actually one of the great things about EO in general, there's usually different ways to build each class depending on what skills you want to focus on.

Ronin=Shogun>Bushi>Masurao. This isn't a power ranking, just my personal liking of them based on bot skill trees and portraits. I love Himeko for example, both as a ninja and a ronin.
