I managed to get some more mechs painted for my Davion and Kurita forces. Very much looking forward to learning how to play with my brother when he gets here. Hopefully we'll even manage to get in a company strength game with some cardboard punchouts but we'll see. Anyway, I'm enjoying learning how to paint but its not easy. I struggle with fine detail work, stripes, hard to reach places. I admire most of what I see posted here. That Nazi is one hell of a painter thats for sure. I'll try to post a battle report once we get our first lance vs lance game in.

I've decided to name my Davion force the Davion Guard Special Operations Group (DGSOG) as a reference to MACVSOG. The Kuritan forces are the 2nd Sword of Light's Jin-Roh Assault Panzers (JAP). I know some of these mechs aren't favored by the factions I've painted them as. My headcanon is that the FedSuns received some Griffins as part of the FedCom accords, and the DCMS purchased some Vindicators through a trade deal attached to the Treaty of Kapteyn. Any other inconsistencies I chalk up to salvage. Thanks for reading my bullshit and thanks for any feedback on my painting.

I'm painting FedSuns and Kurita because they are the two houses I enjoy the most, I'm new to painting and they have some fairly simple paint schemes. I like the FedSuns because I am an uncultured American and they are easy for me to identify with, I like Kurita because Samurai, and they are assholes. Long run, I'm gonna paint my own homebrew mercs.
