Longbow281:
Date: November 6, 2018

Platform: U.S. Army AH‑64 Apache attack helicopter (callsign Longbow281)

Location: Training mission over Arizona

The crew recorded three unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) using their aircraft’s FLIR thermal camera. These objects initially moved in a loose triangular formation before performing a tight circular “dance” around each other, all while moving eastward steadily.

Objects are circular, featureless, and maintain no heat signature in IR. They spin around a central point in coordinated motion—rotating 360° in less than 3 seconds. Throughout, the formation continued at a steady heading without apparent propulsion or lift surfaces.

Chris Lehto, a former USAF F‑16 pilot who reviewed the footage: Estimated that if objects were just one mile away, their angular motion implies speeds of about 1.28 Mach—well above sound speed.

He calculated turn rates on the order of 70 Gs, far beyond the structural limit of any known aircraft, including F‑16s. Overall conclusion: "without a doubt anomalous."

No visible propulsion: no wings, rotors, contrails, or exhaust. No thermal signature: the objects remained cool in IR despite rapid motion.

Efficient spatial maneuvering: capable of tight formation changes and sustained flight without loss of synchronization.
