Dominic Deegan was one of my go-to examples of a webcomic that could run for ten years and not improve one whit. Megatokyo was another.
After the DD author finally reached the end, I saluted him because maybe his art and writing was juvenile, he didn't try to make up the difference with hype bullshit, he never whined about how hard it is being an artist, and he didn't just go on hiatus and never come back. It was a shabby airplane, and he brought it in for a landing without crashing. Good on you.
Then, years later, he starts up again and holy shit he did improve in art and in writing.
