Alright nerds.

I have a Maltron dual hand and a Maltron left hand keyboard in my collection. I have an oppertunity right now to grab a Maltron right hand and have a full set bar their rare head/mouth keyboard which is around £400/$500 brand new. I have decided that if I do get the right hand I want to be able to use all three as a daily driver with the dual hand in the centre and the single hands on either side of it. Only issue is of course is that there would be a lot of redundant keys and I would be using the dual hand far more than the singles due to the traditional QWERTY layout. So I want to know if there is any hardware key remappers out there that I could use for the single hand keyboards to make them non-redundant while not permanently altering them? Kind of like a box that a usb from a keyboard can plug into which then translates key presses into a different set of inputs before reaching the computer USB port. That way I could just change out the keycaps to whatever remap I want and if I need to downsize I can just put the originals back on and not need to worry about remapping to standard spec as it was done entirely by an adapter.
