exactly! thats the whole point. god love us because he choose us not because we choose him. god love unconditionally because he is god, he is perfect. human beings need to put an effort to have a sense of 'agape' since we usually naturally lead to rape, murder and distrust. christianity ask us to have a unnatural sense of empathy, so much that more often than not, is strikes us down. but i can say that a lot of anger inside me has been released when i learned to forgive and to love with more sight. to be perfected in the christian life is to be weak
