Meroron being able to witness this scene firsthand and still have the will to fight for the sake of being Purirun's number one is why I love her.
I hope she doesn't give up next episode and keeps on persisting up to at least the group attack episode. Maybe next episode is a final desperation tactic in the face of cute and canon, but perhaps not.

I feel like most people would have given up after a scene like this, but Meroron is really showing off the recurring Precure concept of never giving up in the face of hopelessness. I can't hate her at all even if she's being way too stubborn for her own good.
Frankly, I think she'll fail to become Purirun's number one and have to deal with that, but perhaps a miracle will happen for her too.
