was gonna suggest check out benheck, some nerd who in the mid 2000's did a bunch of custom controller/hwardware hacking for fun, and made a bunch of shit like "xbox controller for man who lost all his fingers but not his thumbs" or "left side of the controller is controlled by a foot", that sort of shit. he seems to only really do one handed controllers at the moment, but maybe that could help somehow anyways?
