>Egg man was important to this btw
Eggy is still great, but a big problem with modern 4chan is that the anons have dispersed elsewhere online. This basically used to be THE website for anyone with a truly alternative or non mainstream personality or opinions on the world. Tumblr had hipster bitches who thought they were alternative, but for any decently weird dude and even autistic women, 4chan was the place to be. Whether you were an incel, a pron addict, an anarchist, a racist, a liveleak enjoyer, a trap faggot, or just someone who liked truly hilarious memes, this was the place you came.
IMO the peak was also the beginning of the end. Not only did 2016 bring literal boomers to /pol/ and 4chan in general, but reddit was still permissive enough to have communities like r/incels and r/braincels, which produced some truly hilarious memes. Then as the censorship started in earnest post-Trump, I think a lot of anons retreated into closed discord servers and other forms.
There's still based anons out there, and funny memes and good content, but it's all scattered between various discord servers, instagram pages, twitter/X accounts, and then a few who are left here.
4chan has the potential to be great again, but it's going to require a lot of new blood along with the anons on those platforms ultimately coming back here, to their rightful home.
Perhaps unfortunately, that will probably only happen if there is a kind of mass censorship, or if social media as we know it is destroyed. Frankly, I think we need to bring back raids, and we should work together to figure out how to take down Reddit, our greatest nemesis website. Praise KEK, HAIL SHADILAY
