Feminists from first-wave to third-wave feminists were all Marxists but they tended to be at odds with conventional Marxism because it was a boys club of NEET men that only supported womens' liberation on a theoretical level and didn't practice it in their own lives.

One key point of contention between fourth wave feminism and all previous feminist thinking is regarding trans woman identity. Most of the women that came before the tumblr era were disgusted to find out "feminism" now encompasses men who fethisize and romanticize female identity as if it's something you can just subscribe to and not something you're born into and forced to live in. These people are literally cosplaying womanhood and then try to insert themselves into feminist spaces, and if you reject them you're called a TERF because now men are overrunning those spaces and will outnumber biological women to kick them out of their own space. It's fucking crazy.
