I'm a westerner born in 2001 and I love SatAM!
What are you on about? SatAM is very easily accessible for youth. There are TV channels that reair the episodes to this day and it's up for free on Youtube to watch. SatAM is one of my favorite medias to come out of this franchise and I grew up with it alongside rereleases of the classic games.
I also know numerous younger fans who love SatAM and roboticization, as well as Western Sonic tropes. They tend to like both the Blade of Courage Manga and Sonic Forces.
