Played the first campaign mission, then fucked around with some of the new systems. Here's my autistic write-up that nobody will read.

Story
>ZERO explanation of how we got to Kepler or even knew to go there.
>First it shows the trailer where the Emissary quits her job'
>Cuts to Ikora and the Hidden on the EDZ getting nearly hit by a train spawning in
>One of the Hidden finds a flower on the train and shows the flower to Ikora.
>Ikora says "We're being invited" and IMMEDIATELY tells the Guardian to follow up with the invitation
>Loading screen. No cutscene transition, no dialogue, no text box, not even a new lorebook.
>We're on Kepler.
>Ikora knows what Dark Matter is already even though you are allegedly the first person in recorded human history to fuse with it.
>You almost literally trip over Lodi
>You outright offer Lodi a lift out of Kepler and he just casually declines.
>Lodi refers to Fallen as Eliksni, and by their name of House of Exile, even though he naturally shouldn't know either of those things, and he even makes a joke about how their language is similar to Finnish this is almost definitely some developer gag nobody will care about except random Trivia Youtube Shorts.
This pacing is dogshit.
When they said the narrative was going to be told out of order, I didn't realize they meant that the pacing and delivery of plot points would be schizophrenic.
Why is there no exploration or even an in-game cutscene for how we ended up at Kepler? Are people that play the actual game exclusively for their lore just fucked now, because they didn't watch the trailers explaining this stuff?

I was able to get into the servers with not so much as a hiccup only 7 minutes after they opened, which is the fastest I've gotten into any expansion release in 4 years, and the second-fastest I've gotten into any D2 content drop (fastest being Season of Plunder's release).
