I'm not sure if it applies but I like my jim green vellies. If you're fine with potato last and hard rubber sole I've thrashed mine and they've held up great. At $100 they're basically disposable, but I did add some superfeet blue insoles because they have basically no arch support. Love how roomy the toes are for walking, but I do have hobbit feet high arches and a wide forefoot.

Clarks look fine but I'm not a fan of the loose sloppy heel and tight toe box. No steel shank kinda makes them suck for just walking too.
