Bots are violent mindless murder machines from an equally violent and once human band of race traitors. We have to fight them because they are fighting us. Just because we disagreed civically 100 years ago doesn't give them a right to unleash a mechanical horde of slaughter bots on us today.
Squids were simply too dangerous to let alone. We had to and nearly did exterminate them as we rightfully should. The bugs were at least confined and predictable. They are just animals. The squids were schemers and we had no idea what their full intentions were. When jelly fish in the ocean it could be a harmless floating blob that just wants to chill in the waves. Or it could be a fucking box jellyfish that will ruin your fucking life with the briefest of graze. They had to be eliminated.
In the end all these wars are justified and for the good of Mankind. Fuck the xenos. Super Earth first and always. Morals can be talked about at length after.
