For most of the bad singers, they can absolutely compensate. Doki proved that with her recent AX concert where she was able to sing a variety of songs on her own with a fuckton of practice, as well as pull off some cool choreo.

If she can do it, I'd imagine almost anybody can. Just gotta find the right range for your voice.
