Shit, this is good stuff. I've had similar ideas to this from a thread on here back in like 2015-2016, has always seemed like the way to go for me. Natural and concealed, and easier to live in with good morale, while still functional.

Actually, it was specifically a Hesco barrier thread, kek. On that note, here's a thought - the concept I've had with that for years is take Hesco barriers or smaller equivalents, fill them up as a barrier around the property, then layer the outside with thinner bricks or cobblestone-like walls. Not that those would be strong on their own, but just enough to be aesthetic and not totally obvious as a defensive wall. Sandwich them like that, sprinkle glass and nails into the sand at the top of the barriers for anyone trying to climb, and/or promote some sort of growth on the top. Have a second story to the house or a deer stand/"tree house" at the edge of the property for overwatch.

Is this too much cost/prep wise and/or non-durable long-term, or is it a solid idea? Mostly for the strength combined with the aesthetic. It's naturally strong and if someone tries to ram it thinking it's just a normal wall, they get a nasty surprise. Probably the cheapest way to achieve that level of barrier, though like I said, been years since I thought it up.
