Imma be honest, I'm not a fan of how the bases look so far. I preferred the cramped feeling that Subnautica bases gave you. Also (at least in the trailer) they don't have hatches anymore and instead you just swim in and out through some whacky forcefield.
I get it from a QoL perspective, but something about that just feels lame.
