I kinda find funny how you can see in thematic music how russians cannot be europeans despite the apparent similarities, this is how european themed OSTs should sound like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0brkDr2sXI
Notice how the composer managed to catch a cleaner and extremely fluid rhythm, a high tempo, the vocals are feminine and hopeful despite having a hint of melancholy which reflect the longing for infinite common to the gothic (spenglerian faustian) character.
Meanwhile a russian theme sounds like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9LymBGVix8
It's far heavier and grittier with metal elements and there is a hint of mongol singing, the vocals are more ruthless and there is always a sense of desperation, of cold steppes.
Russians are their own civilization suffering of faustian pseudomorphosis, this is the reason why despite trying so hard they always lag behind when it comes to technology, they don't really like it from a cultural point of view as a collective, very exceptional (often imported) individuals aside, for them scientific knowledge is not an end unto itself but the means to an end, and the moment it no longer is useful they will drop it, they are not westerners.
Your country is trying to move from the later to the former, and I commend you as a collective figured out where lies the only salvation for our species, for only technique, and the love of it for its own sake, can allow us to overcome the death warrant every specie has due evolutionary and stellar forces at play.
