SV shouldn't have been a Switch 1 title after seeing how it runs on the Switch 2. Nintendo canned the Switch 1 version of Mario Kart World because of the framerate. GameFreak should've used SwSh's base for SV. It would've been much better recieved that way than trying to save face with a performance patch years after the game came out and will soon be irrelevant.
