Fate/Stay Night is not a series you watch just for plot twists. It's very much a character driven series steeped heavily in its themes and symbolism. F/Z is more accessible to normalfags because it doesn't try to be much more than a drama and a tragedy. That simplicity and large cast of characters is endearing on its own, and it's surely satisfying for people looking for "just a battle royale", but F/SN has a lot more meat on it. It has a smaller, focused cast with the side characters representing obstacles to their internal developments. F/Z doesn't have that sort of structure or thought put into it.
