I don't think that's the case. If you are on the Discord, there are new artists that pop up and share their works. I think the larger issue is that there aren't many places to post artwork. Deviantart has been trash for a while and many people moved away from it. You're right about pixiv, but I find it to be absolutely cluttered with either AI slop or just amputee gore. I've found unique artwork on Reddit, but it's few and far between.
