I think they wanted to do Beth episodes out of spite, but had the sense to ask why nobody wants to see an episode about Beth. They probably noticed that all the hate stems from the fact that they're boring middle-aged women in a sci-fi comedy (that never works) so the story was written around de-aging them into psychotic little girls.
