>"pastiche" allegations
Better a pastiche than nothing at all! And ancient stuff inevitably decays over time; wait till you hear how many of Japan's dozens of castles are the originals.
>Manchus schooled Chinese on cooking
No, we schooled the Manchus on cooking. There's necessarily not much room to "school" if you're stuck in a barren northern tundra with limited access to the freshest and finest ingredients. Meanwhile, China has had 4 great regional traditions of cuisine. Again, just compare Chinese and Korean imperial cuisine and you'll see the obvious.
Saying the Manchus invented Chinese cuisine as we know it today is like saying the British invented Indian cuisine as we know it today.
Take off the red, white, and blue blinders, anon. And maybe consider for at least a second that your Anglo culture isn't as innovative and flavorful.
